Max is a designer based out of central Texas with an expansive skillset in theatre, arts, and education. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, his work in theatre has been featured in Houston and San Antonio with various theatre companies working from acting, stage managing, directing, education, and design. He holds an AA in Theatre from College of the Mainland (Texas City), and a BFA in Theatre Education from Texas State University, where after he was a theatre teacher for five years as a mentor and director working for the wonderful students and communities of San Antonio ISD. He is now a second year MFA Candidate at Texas State as a Scenic Design major, expected to graduate Spring of 2026. 
Max's work as a designer and artist is inspired by the people in the room, with a drive for collaboration and passion for people and their storytelling. Using all of his knowledge in every other role he has taken on in theatre, he strives for creating set designs that harmonize with other's collaborators work, the characters that inhabit the space, and building an encase for heart of the production's story.
Max is the recipient of awards such as Broadway World San Antonio Best Scenic Design for "Somewhere Over the Border" (2024), San Antonio Magazine's Thank-A-Teacher of the Year (2023), and various as a theatre educator for his productions submitted for UIL One Act Play Competitions in Texas.
